Booking & Scheduling
How do I book a walk?
If you're new to the Stellar Paws pack, you'll want to start by arranging a free meet and greet via our enquiry form. For existing members, simply call, text or email us with your request and we'll get back to you to confirm whether we have a space available for your pooch to play.
How far in advance can I book?
Most of the Stellar Paws pack choose to book recurring walks on the same days each week. For casual walks you may book a session at any time, provided we have a space available. However spots tend to fill up fast so avoid potential disappointment by getting in as early as possible!
Can I book a specific time for a walk?
Yes of course! If you require certainty around your dog's walking schedule, you can add our Guaranteed Pickup Window to ensure your dog is collected within a specific timeslot. A surcharge of $20 per walk, per household, applies — or just $10 for VIP members. This add-on is not required for subscribers who are flexible with their walk times, allowing us to schedule their dog to be walked at any point during our regular business hours.
Do you walk on weekends or public holidays?
We operate only on weekdays, with the exception of public holidays and a few weeks through the festive season. We will always remind you in advance via our socials whenever we are taking a planned break.
Service Details
How long do you walk for?
All of our group walks will spend at least one whole hour of playtime at the park.
How many dogs are in each group?
In accordance with local council regulations, our off-leash walking groups are limited to no more than four dogs per dog walker.
Would you like to meet my dog first?
We always arrange a free meet and greet with you and your pooch before their first day with the pack – a familiar face is always a friendlier one! It also helps us to group like-minded dogs so that everyone gets the most enjoyable experience possible.
Do you come and pick up my dog?
Yes of course! We offer a door-to-door service picking your dog up from your home or office. We then travel to the park in style with our custom-equipped, air-conditioned vehicles before returning your dog home happy and tired.
Do I need to leave my dog outside?
As long as we don't need a key to gain access, you're all set! Otherwise we may require a copy of any keys or codes necessary for access. We can determine how best to access your dog in our free meet and greet session beforehand.
Where will you take my dog?
All of our dog walks take place at local off-leash parks, dog-friendly beaches or bush trails. Some of our favourite dog parks include Sirius Cove Reserve in Mosman, Tunks Park in Cammeray, and Curl Curl lagoon.
Timing & Duration
What time will you take my dog for a walk?
Our typical business hours are 7am–4pm, with pickup times varying depending on the seasons, and which group we've matched your dog with. If you'd like to request a specific timing window for your walk, you may choose to upgrade to our priority scheduling service.
How long will my dog be gone?
From the time of pick-up to drop-off you can expect your dog to be gone for approximately 2 hours total, or 4 hours for doggies in half-day care.
Media & Payment
Can I see what my dog gets up to on their walks?
Yes of course! We share our adventures daily on social media so make sure to follow us on Instagram or Facebook to see all of our furry friends' happy faces. If you'd like on-demand access to photos and videos of your doggie, then be sure to upgrade to our VIP membership.
How do I pay?
All payments for our services take advantage of our automatic payment system, which can be billed to your bank account or credit card weekly or fortnightly. Walks are typically invoiced at the end of each week via your nominated email address. Just click the link in your invoice email to set up your preferred payment method and you're all set! Payments are typically processed at the beginning of each week.
Weather & Cancellation
What do you do if it's raining?
Doggies love the rain! So we walk in (almost) all weather conditions and make every effort to ensure your dog comes home as clean and dry as possible. If your dog is wet or dirty, we are more than happy to give them a good rinse with a hose and a towelling-off before dropping them home. If your dog is especially grubby we can also give them a bath if requested in advance. In the event of a serious inclement weather event such as hailstorms, heavy rain, or lightning storms, we will cancel walks where there is a genuine safety risk to dogs or our staff members.
What happens if my walk gets cancelled?
Due to unforeseen circumstances such as an emergency or inclement weather, Stellar Paws may have to cancel your walk. We will attempt to notify you of any such changes as soon as possible.
What if I need to cancel a walk?
Not a problem! Just give us a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to the day of your regular booking to cancel without charge. Any cancellations advised within 48 hours of the booking will be subject to the full service fee, including both regular and casual bookings.
Emergency & Safety
What happens in the event of an emergency?
Before we can welcome you to the pack, we require a secondary and emergency contact for those just-in-case moments. Your emergency contacts help ensure that we can always get a hold of someone on your end and keep them fully informed should anything take us by surprise.
